The #MeToo movement has been an almost unstoppable trend on social media in recent times. Women from all over the united states have been coming out with their different stories of sexual assault experience and holding the men involved responsible for their past actions.
However, some individuals have started pushing back on this trend for several reasons and one mother who has decided to pitch her tent on the side on the men by using how the #MeToo movement has affected her son as a tool.
According to a tweet from the mother, her son is a “gentleman who respects women” and is in the Navy, where her son “graduated #1 in boot camp.” However, the concerned mother claims that her boy is now frightened to go out on solo dates thanks to “the current climate of false sexual accusations by radical feminists with an axe to grind.” The mom concluded her Anti #MeToo tweet with “#HimToo.” with the aim to prove that the men are equally affected by the climate of the movement just like the ladies.
However, it turned out that alot of social media users disagreed with BlueStarNavyMum’s tweet which was a failed attempt to take down the #MeToo Movement. Social media is a place where any post that goes wrong is transformed into a series of rib cracking memes and this tweet by BlueStarNavyMum didn’t escape the meme industry.
The Tweet which has since been taken down by the Tweeter user has been parodied endlessly only by people who have created memes that reappropriates the mum’s story to a variety of fictional characters Jack Torrence, Guy Fieri, and Norman Bates.
One Tweeter user @MikeDrucker tweeted “This is MY son. He graduated #1 from the University of Flavortown. He was awarded three banging fajita poppers. He was #1 in flamin’ hot crunch. He won’t go on solo dates due to the current climate of false accusations of taking the last slice of pizza. I VOTE.”

Pieter Handson who has been identified as BlueStarNavyMom’s son was supposed to be a tool for the change his mother wanted, but instead, he proved to be a keen fan of the #MeToo movement.
Peiter took to Tweeter to post a photo if himself and explain that he completely disagreed with his mother.
The young man wrote “sometimes the people we love do things that hurt us without realising it” before he said that he “never will support #HimToo.” And he has won the heart of thousands of Tweeter users as he his Tweet has attracted over 50,000 likes since it became public last night and we hope that brings the obviously misguided #HimToo movement to an end.
That was my Mom. Sometimes the people we love do things that hurt us without realizing it. Let’s turn this around. I respect and #BelieveWomen . I never have and never will support #HimToo . I’m a proud Navy vet, Cat Dad and Ally. Also, Twitter, your meme game is on point. pic.twitter.com/yZFkEjyB6L
