Although you may not think that some of the world’s most influential, rich and famous celebrities would have trouble sleeping at night, some do! Having money, being well known and having millions of fans and followers worldwide does not guarantee that you will sleep easy.

When it comes to getting a good night’s sleep, some celebrities go to extreme lengths to make sure it goes ahead undisturbed and follow strict sleeping regimes each and every night.

Here are some of the interesting sleeping habits of famous people.

Elon Musk

Elon Musk is the man behind SpaceX, Tesla and has previously worked on PayPal. He is, by far, one of today’s most recognisable names. The South African born Canadian-American business entrepreneur, inventor, and Tesla engineer values his sleep highly, and he sleeps every night for six hours between 1 am and 7 am.

Interestingly, Musk has been known to sleep right in the middle of the Tesla factory, keeping a sleeping bag in a conference room located close to the Tesla production line.

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise has a terrible snoring problem. Sometimes he sleeps in what he refers to as a “sound-proof snoratorium” which completely locks in sound.

When he goes to sleep, he firmly shuts himself inside this room. It’s a very small, dark room which, when sealed, prevents any and all sound from leaking outside of it. Tom Cruise reportedly sleeps in this room when he has guests staying over so that he does not disturb them with his loud snoring.

Arianna Huffington

The Greek-American founder of internet news website The Huffington Post – Arianna Huffington – once upon a time suffered from severe exhaustion and, one day, awoke in a pool of her own blood to find that she had collapsed and injured herself quite severely.
This was a serious wake up call for Huffington, who then devised a strict sleeping regime which she now follows religiously.

Every night, Huffington turns off all of her electronics and places them outside her bedroom to charge. She then runs a hot bath with Epsom salts and lavender oil, bathing in it before going off to sleep in special sleep clothes. She reads a book until she finally dozes off.

Donald Trump

The well-known American business magnate and President of the United States, Donald Trump, sleeps every night between three to four hours. Some nights, however, he is known to sleep for as little as 90 minutes.

Astonishingly, Trump is wide awake for almost 19 hours a day running the country and managing his business interests. It’s a wonder how he does it.
